The Rockets blow by the Spurs 125-104 (in a 150 words or less)

Beating the Spurs is a whole lot easier when you get shots to fall, and that’s exactly what happened Sunday night as the Rockets won 125-104.

The Rockets in the first quarter punched the Spurs in the face jumping out to a 34-22 lead, the offense pushed the pace and ended up with 13 fastbreak points in the quarter.

By the end of the half, the Spurs would make it a four-point game, and with Nene out and injured and Clint Capela it looked like the Rockets might be in trouble.

In the third, the Rockets got hot from deep and hit eight three’s and push the lead up to 15, which pretty much ended the game.

Gregg Popovich would not bring his main starters back into the game during the fourth quarter.

James Harden finished with a double-double, 28 points, and 12 assists. Eric Gordon and Lou Williams off the bench poured in 35 points.
