Joe Musgrove after his last start shared that he hasn’t felt right all year. Friday night he threw his best game of the year as the Astros beat the Orioles 2-0.
Musgrove this season has been up and down and had yet to throw a really dominant outing, but Friday he’d hold the Orioles to four hits and no runs over seven innings (his longest outing of the year).
No Oriole would make it to third base until the eighth inning when Chris Devenski would load the bases before recording an out. Devenski did recover and sit down the next three batters to get out of the inning.
Jake Marisnick played hero 24 hours earlier with a late home run, and Friday night he’d give the Astros a 1-0 lead in the third with a solo shot. Carlos Beltran put the offense on the board with another solo home run in the sixth.
