Dallas Keuchel’s DL stay would only cause him to miss one start, and Saturday he’d pick up right where he left off as the Astros went on to beat the Orioles 5-2.
Keuchel’s outing only lasted 86 pitches – they are taking it slow with him, no worries – but he’d make the most of it tossing six innings of one-run ball while striking out eight batters.
George Springer led off the game with a single and would come around to score with a nifty move past the catcher after a Jose Altuve double drove him in. The Astros added another run in the inning when Carlos Correa singled to bring Altuve in.
Springer again came through in the fourth inning when he blasted a two-run home to give them a 4-1 lead.
Brian McCann in his first game off the DL (concussion) would draw two walks. Will Harris picked up his second save.
